About Us

Hi! And thank you for stopping by my website. Raining Rocks is a corporation located in Phoenix, Arizona. I've been in the actual business of selling rocks since 2014, formerly as Key Horizon Minerals. I have been intrigued with rocks since my Mom took me to the Arizona Desert Museum in the 1980s and along the way ended up with a geology and environmental degree (though I was surprised at the choice of degree (I went with the intent of studying engineering) my Mom wasn't the least surprised.) Along the way, I've attended every gem show I could, hunted minerals, meteorites, worked with the National Park Service, Meteor Crater and, most recently, my friend's world renown meteorite company.

What you will find on this site will be an eclectic grouping of material. I purchase collections, and therefore, will have a mix of material available. There will always be meteorites and minerals here, aside from that, your guess is as good as mine. Though there will typically be rough, slabs, cabs, faceting rough, faceted gemstones, minerals, and meteorites. Often our acquired collections contain old material, some quite hard to find now, especially of the quality from material collected many years ago. Please check back often as there will be new material added frequently.

All the meteorites listed on this site are genuine. I found my first meteorite about 20 years ago and have been, well, obsessed really, since. I was on 2 episodes of the TV show Meteorite Men, worked behind the scenes for five TV shows (4 science based), have been a panel speaker for ASAE, and my meteorite photos have been featured on a number of book and magazine covers and interiors, museum displays, websites, and TV shows.  I am a member of the IMCA, #5146.

I travel frequently to participate in gem shows; principally in Arizona, but also Colorado and New Mexico. Please check frequently for updated show dates.

I do buy collections (either whole or part) - meteorites, minerals, lapidary material, gemstones, etc (pretty much anything rock related; earth and space.). Please email me if you have a collection for sale. Please include photos, quantity of material and your location in your email.
